Welcome to Skyline Flooring. By requesting a quote, scheduling a service, or engaging Skyline Flooring for any work, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Services
Skyline Flooring provides professional hardwood flooring services including installation, refinishing, restoration, repair, floor leveling, and demolition for residential and commercial properties throughout the greater Los Angeles area.
2. Service Area
We serve Los Angeles County, Ventura County, the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, Glendale, Pasadena, and surrounding communities. A full list of cities we serve is available on our Service Areas page.
3. Estimates & Pricing
- Skyline Flooring offers free on-site estimates for all projects.
- All pricing is based on an in-person assessment of the project scope, existing floor conditions, materials, and square footage.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of the estimate unless otherwise stated in writing.
- Final pricing may be adjusted if site conditions differ from the initial assessment or if the customer requests changes to the original scope of work.
4. Scheduling & Project Timeline
- Project start dates are scheduled based on mutual agreement and material availability.
- Skyline Flooring will make every effort to complete work within the estimated timeframe; however, delays may occur due to material supply, weather, or unforeseen site conditions.
- Customers will be notified promptly of any schedule changes.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Customers may cancel or reschedule without penalty if notice is given at least 48 hours before the scheduled start date.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start date may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover reserved materials and labor.
- Custom-ordered materials are non-refundable once ordered.
6. Payment Terms
- A deposit may be required prior to the start of work, as outlined in the project agreement.
- Final payment is due upon completion and customer walkthrough of the finished project.
- We accept cash, check, credit card, and electronic payment methods.
- Past-due balances may be subject to a late fee of 1.5%% per month.
7. Warranties & Guarantees
- Skyline Flooring stands behind our craftsmanship. We provide a workmanship warranty on all labor performed.
- Manufacturer warranties on materials and products are passed through to the customer as applicable.
- Warranty claims must be reported within 30 days of discovering the issue.
- Normal wear and tear, moisture damage, improper maintenance, or modifications by others are not covered under our workmanship warranty.
8. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth project, customers agree to:
- Clear furniture and personal belongings from the work area prior to the scheduled start date.
- Provide adequate access to the work area, including parking for our crew and equipment.
- Ensure pets and children are kept away from the work area during active construction.
- Notify Skyline Flooring of any known hazards, such as asbestos, lead paint, or structural issues.
- Follow all post-installation care instructions provided by our team.
9. Limitation of Liability
- Skyline Flooring is not responsible for pre-existing conditions such as subfloor damage, mold, or structural deficiencies discovered during the course of work.
- Additional costs for addressing unforeseen conditions will be communicated and approved by the customer before proceeding.
- Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service in question.
10. Photography & Portfolio Use
Skyline Flooring may photograph completed projects for use in our portfolio, website, social media, and marketing materials. No personally identifiable information will be shared. If you prefer that your project not be photographed, please notify us in advance.
11. Privacy
We collect only the information necessary to provide our services, such as your name, address, phone number, and email. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. For questions about your data, please contact us directly.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through direct communication. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled through mediation or arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, in accordance with California law.
13. Changes to These Terms
Skyline Flooring reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
